barely的用法和例句
一、表示“几乎不;刚好;勉强”
barely 最核心的含义是“程度低到接近否定”,“刚好够”“几乎没有”,常用来描述数量、能力或状态处于临界点。
- She barely ate anything at dinner. 她晚餐几乎没吃东西。
- The room was so dark that I could barely see the furniture. 房间太暗,我几乎看不清家具。
- His salary is barely enough to cover rent and food. 他的工资勉强够付房租和吃饭。
二、与情态动词 can/could 连用,表示“几乎不能”
