一、复数形式
half的复数形式为 halves，是不规则变化，需特别意拼写去掉词尾“f”加“ves”。二、作名词：表示“一半”
1. 单独使用或搭配数词
指具体数量的“一半”时，用单数half；表示多个“一半”时，用复数halves。- A half of the cake is left.蛋糕还剩一半。
- Cut the apple into two halves.把苹果切成两半。

三、作形容词：修饰名词
直接置于名词前，表“一半的”，此时half复数变化需加“s”。- She drank half a bottle of water.她喝了半瓶水。

四、作副词：修饰动词/形容词

1. “数词 + and a half + 名词复数”
表示“……个半”，名词需用复数。- I’ve lived here for two and a half years.我在这儿住了两年半。

2. “half of + 名词”
后接可数名词复数时，谓语动词用复数；接不可数名词或单数名词时，用单数。- Half of the books are in English.一半的书是英文的。

3. “in half”与“into halves”
